Special protocol for children with coronavirus

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — A special protocol will be adopted for children affected by coronavirus who exhibit signs of distress.

Marta Branca, Administrative Director of the Italian Nutrition Institute for Infectious Diseases, informed that their facility was made available to minors affected by coronavirus with a special protocol with rooms for mother and child.

“Every child will have a pediatrician available 24 hours a day and a pediatric nurse. We will be fully available to them with all our scientific baggage. But this protocol remains a hypothesis that we wish not to carry out as so far this virus appears preoccupying only in patients of old age suffering from various pathologies.”

For this particular protocol, the Italian Institute has informed all pediatric doctors in the field and is in constant contact with all levels of medical and scientific authorities.
