It is not yet clear if the incident was criminal or a terror attack.
A statement from Magen David Adom (MDA) confirmed that the organization had “received a report of a man who was stabbed near the entrance to the Hadar Shopping Mall on General Pierre Koenig St in Jerusalem.”
“MDA EMTs and Paramedics are treating a 30-year-old in moderate condition suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. The attacker was neutralized by security forces.”
Initial investigations lead police to believe that the event was criminal, not terrorist, and that the stabber is a known criminal. However, the possibility of terror has not yet been ruled out.
