UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell at the hearings in the House of Representatives of the US Congress said that Washington’s strategy towards Moscow is to press until she goes to a dialogue.
“The strategy (consists) in increasing the pressure and in pointing out the door to dialogue. In the end, the Russian authorities are responsible for whether or not they will use these opportunities for dialogue. They do not use these opportunities, so we will continue to do so that (Russia) will pay the price until they start (to use the opportunities for dialogue), “Mitchell said.
On April 15, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said that Washington intends to introduce new restrictions against Russia on April 16.
Later, the media reported that the American leader decided to suspend the introduction of new sanctions.
