Stoltenberg: NATO will support Turkey in the air

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The Alliance will continue to support Turkey in the area of ​​air defense.

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg after a meeting of members of the military bloc assembled at the request of Ankara.

The Secretary General called Turkey the injured party in the Syrian conflict and expressed condolences to the families of soldiers who died in Idlib. Stoltenberg also called on Russia and Syria to stop indiscriminate air attacks.

AWACS alliance airborne early warning and guidance aircraft will continue to patrol Syrian airspace and help Turkey, Stoltenberg promised.
