Syrian security forces thwart attempt to bring weapons to northern Homs

SYRIA (OBSERVATORY) –┬áThe competent authorities in Syria foiled the attempt to bring large quantities of weapons and ammunition from the southern region to armed groups deployed in the northern Homs countryside.

Troops of the Syrian army and the relevant authorities seized a large shipment of miscellaneous munitions, weapons and medicines, some Israeli-made, on their way from the southern region to the Badia in the countryside of Homs.

Among the seized weapons are various missiles, a large number of different caliber missiles and hundreds of ammunition boxes for medium machine guns, war rifles and various drugs.
