The destruction of a drone over a suburb of Damascus (media)

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Syria’s state television announced Thursday that an unknown unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the city of Akraba south of the Syrian capital.

As previously reported, several explosions were heard in Damascus and its suburbs at about 20:05 local time.

“There are reports of the destruction of UAVs in the sky over Akraba in the vicinity of Damascus,” Ikhbariya television channel reports.

Akraba is located about ten kilometers southeast of Damascus on the way to the city’s international airport.
