UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Chinese authorities announced on Sunday that a third big city in the country will prevent long bus trips due to the spread of acute viral pneumonia, which has killed 56 people.
A local official wrote on the “Weibo” short message platform that Qian, with a population of ten million, will suspend long bus journeys from 18:00 (10:00 GMT) on Sunday, as well as the entry of tourist buses to the city.
The cities of Tianjin and Beijing have taken similar measures, while the number of deaths from the virus in China has risen to 54.
The number of confirmed injuries nationwide increased to 1610 based on figures published by the central government earlier.
