Trump and Macron meet journalists in France

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — President Donald Trump will attend a news conference with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday at the end of a Group of Seven summit in France, the White House said in a daily press briefing on Monday.

Trump insisted on Sunday that he was in harmony at the summit with other leaders of the group, which includes Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.

But disagreements have emerged over issues ranging from the escalating trade war with China to the nuclear ambitions of Iran and North Korea to the question of whether Russian President Vladimir Putin should be rejoined.
