Trump claims to have passed a coronavirus test

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — US President Donald Trump has been tested for coronavirus infection, there is no result yet. Trump announced this on Saturday at a briefing at the White House.

“I also passed the test [for coronavirus] last night,” the US president said. He explained that he did this, given the numerous questions on this subject, asked by journalists at a press conference held in the White House on Friday.

According to Trump, before the briefing on Saturday, he measured the temperature, which is “completely normal.” At a press conference on Friday, the head of state said that he had no symptoms of infection with the new coronavirus, so there was no need to undergo an examination to identify the disease.

On the eve it became known that the head of the press service of the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro Fabio Weingarten, who was a member of the delegation who returned from Miami on Wednesday night, showed symptoms of a respiratory disease, which was later found to be caused by coronavirus.

It was also reported that Weingarten was on a trip near Bolsonaru and had direct contact with him.

The official was quarantined, and Bolsonar, who turns 65 on March 21, and members of his delegation, including ministers of defense, state security and energy, passed tests for the presence of coronavirus.

The Brazilian president said on Friday on Facebook that he did not have a new type of coronavirus.

The number of cases of coronavirus infection in the United States exceeded 2200, 50 people died. Trump introduced a nationwide emergency regime on March 13th.
