Trump promised Syrian Kurds help in oil production

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — US President Donald Trump said that a certain American company can help Syrian Kurds in oil production.

“I always said that if you go in (into the country), control the oil. The same thing is here. We will come up with something with the Kurds so that they have some money, a cash flow. We can make our one big the oil company went in there and did everything right. They need money that they practically don’t have right now,” Trump told reporters on Monday before a cabinet meeting.

He noted that this is a “not very large oil region.”

At the same event, Trump said that part of the US military will be deployed in Syria in a certain area for “oil protection”, that is, in the oil-bearing region.

Since 2014, the United States and its allies in Syria and Iraq conducted an operation against the terrorist organization IS, and in Syria they acted without the consent of the country’s official authorities.
