Trump said he withdrew troops from Syria

UNITED STATES (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — US President Donald Trump said he is not opposed to Syrian President Bashar Assad defending the Kurds in his country from the advance of Turkey. American troops from this country are “mostly” withdrawn, Trump said.

“I defeated the 100% caliphate of the IS and after that I basically withdrew our troops from Syria. Let Syria and Assad defend Turkey and fight Turkey for their land. I told my generals why we should fight for Syria and Assad to protect the land our enemy? ” – Trump wrote on Twitter.

“Anyone who wants to help Syria defend the Kurds is fine with me, be it Russia, China or Napoleon Bonaparte. I hope that everything will be fine with them, and we are 7 thousand miles away!” – added Trump.

Earlier, Syrian Kurds announced an agreement with Damascus on the deployment of Syrian troops along the entire border with Turkey to repel an attack by Turkish troops.
