Trump said that the NAFTA agreement is close to signing

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) –¬†US President Donald Trump said that Washington has come very close to making a deal on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), but the time until the signing of documents can take from two weeks to five months.

“We are very close to the (conclusion) of the transaction, it can take as long as two weeks, and five months, but I do not experience it because of this,” correspondents of the White House pool quoted Trump as saying.

The United States, Canada and Mexico have been negotiating the updating of the North American Free Trade Area (NAFTA) since 2017, which Trump considers unprofitable for the US and from which he repeatedly threatened to withdraw.
