“If Iran does something, it will be hit, which it’s never been hit before,” Trump said during a meeting of the US administration in the White House.
“I am trying to get out of wars, but also we may have to join wars. (…) We are better prepared than ever,” said the American leader.
Earlier Monday, Iran announced it was preparing for the fourth phase of a reduction in its nuclear deal obligations, from which the United States withdrew in May 2018.
In May 2019, Tehran refused a number of obligations on a nuclear deal after the introduction of economic sanctions by the United States.
In early September, Iran announced a decision to accumulate spent uranium, not excluding its enrichment to an arms level of 20%.
Russia called on Iran to adhere to the agreements of the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program.
