Trump threatened Turkey with new duties and sanctions

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — US President Donald Trump has threatened Turkey with duties and sanctions in case of unacceptable behavior on her part, reports Reuters.

Speaking about the possible introduction of duties and sanctions against Turkey, Trump noted that, in his opinion, Turkey would not behave improperly. “I don’t think they will be,” said Donald Trump.

After which he emphasized that the strength of the United States lies in the economy. “This is a great power,” the president said.

Recall, October 17, the United States and Turkey agreed on a ceasefire in Syria. Turkey will suspend the operation for 120 hours so that the Kurds move 30 kilometers south from the border.

After which, Trump announced a “complete pause” in the Turkish operation in Syria.

However, earlier the US president signed a decree imposing sanctions against Turkey and promised to “destroy” the Turkish economy if Ankara begins to destroy the Kurds in Syria.
