UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – US President Donald Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, is to appear before a court in New York on Monday to investigate documents he received during a raid on his home in connection with arranging financial adjustments to obliterate his client’s scandals with porn actress Stormy Daniels.
Cohen has been under criminal investigation for months. Last week, FBI agents raided his office, hotel room, office and safe, obtained documents and confiscated two mobile phones.
Cohen admitted publicly that he paid 130,000 dollars to the porn actress in November 2016 for her silence. She confirms that she established a relationship with Donald Trump in 2006 and 2007.
Trump said he was not aware of the deal and denied having a relationship with Daniels.
The New York Times reported that publisher David Becker may have consulted with Cohen about the testimony of Karen McDougall, a star of Playboy magazine, and also confirmed that she had a relationship with the former property tycoon.
The National Inquirer, which is the most important issue of Dar Becker, agreed to buy these exclusive confessions for $ 150,000.
The New Yorker magazine, based on testimonies from unidentified people, confirmed that National Enquirer eventually agreed not to publish the interview to protect Trump, but those concerned deny it.
The New York Times reported that Trump on Friday contacted Michael Cohen to “review” the status of his loyal adviser.
Since the lawyer is subject to electronic eavesdropping, according to the document published Friday, this communication can be included in the investigation.
Federal Judge Kimba Wood ordered Cohen’s hearing at 2 pm (1800 GMT), which will see a confrontation with the attorney general’s office.
