Turkey continues support for militants in Idlib (Russia)

SYRIA (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The Turkish side continues to violate Sochi’s agreements to support militants in the Idlib zone with artillery fire for strikes against the Syrian armed forces, Rear Admiral Oleg Zhuravlev, head of the Russian center for reconciliation of warring parties in the SAR, said at a briefing.

“In violation of the Sochi accords in the Idlib de-escalation zone, the Turkish side continues to support the actions of illegal armed groups by artillery fire and the use of reconnaissance and strike unmanned aircraft to strike units of the Syrian armed forces,” he said.

He added that on February 25, Syrian air defense destroyed the multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle of the Turkish Armed Forces Anka, which violated the state border and was preparing to strike at the positions of the Syrian armed forces.
