US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koja announced an increase in the number of identified patients with coronavirus in the country to five.
Earlier on Friday, Koja announced the second confirmed case of coronavirus infection in the country, the patient had contact with a man who arrived from Europe and became the first patient with COVID-19 identified in Turkey.
“The number of cases of coronavirus in Turkey has increased to five. The new three cases are related to the first case,” Koja told reporters.
The World Health Organization on March 11 announced the outbreak of a new coronavirus pandemic.
About 125 thousand people in more than 110 countries have already been infected in the world, most have recovered, but more than 4 thousand have died.
