Turkish drone destroyed in Syria

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Syrian air defense destroyed on February 25 a Turkish attack drone, which violated Syrian airspace and wanted to attack the government army.

The world public was informed by the head of the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Oleg Zhuravlev.

According to him, the Syrian anti-aircraft gunners shot down a Turkish multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle TAI Anka, equipped with strike weapons.

Zhuravlev emphasized that in violation of the Sochi accords, Turkey supports artillery fire in the Idlib zone with the militants’ offensive on the positions of the Syrian army.

Earlier it was reported that the Turkish Foreign Ministry, in negotiations with Russian colleagues in Ankara, announced the need to establish a ceasefire in Idlib.
