Two rockets explode near the US Embassy in Iraq

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Two rockets exploded in the “green zone” of Baghdad, near the American embassy in Iraq, reports Al-Arabiya. It was the twentieth attack on American interests in Iraq in four months.

Since the end of October, rocket attacks on US soldiers, diplomats, or installations in Iraq have killed an American contractor and an Iraqi soldier. None have been claimed, but Washington accuses armed factions close to Iran of being responsible for them.
