UAE confirms first case of coronavirus

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The United Arab Emirates has confirmed the first case of the deadly coronavirus that first appeared in China.

The UAE Ministry of Health announced that the case was confirmed by an individual from a family coming from the Chinese city of Wuhan, against whom necessary medical measures were taken.

Coronavirus has killed at least 132 people in China and infected about 6,000.

Cities are quarantined, while China is building a 1,000-bed hospital for those who have contacted the virus.

The virus has also spread to Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the US, Singapore, France, Vietnam and Canada.

Travelers from China are being checked at airports around the world and many airlines have suspended flights to the epicenter of the virus, Wuhan City.
