GAZA STRIP (OBSERVATORY) – UN experts once again condemned the use of firearms by Israeli soldiers with live ammunition against unarmed Palestinian protesters on the border with the Gaza Strip, the statement released by the press service of the UN Human Rights Council said.
“Despite the readiness of Israel to investigate the events of the past several weeks, the Israeli military continues to use military weapons and rubber bullets against the protesters, killing and injuring dozens of mostly unarmed people – women, men and children. We express our fury over these shelling, which could lead to unlawful killings and a very high number of wounded, “the statement said.
Experts recalled that during three weeks of protests on the border with the Gaza Strip, 28 Palestinians were killed and over 1600 people were injured. Among the dead, there were three children and a journalist wearing a distinct print logo on his clothes.
