UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) — UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres calls on all parties in northwestern Syria to exercise maximum restraint after the United States withdrew its forces from the region, paving the way for a Turkish strike on Kurdish-led and allied forces, his spokesman said. Washington.
“It is very important that all parties exercise maximum restraint at this time,” said Guterres spokesman Stephane Dujarric.
“The Secretary-General further emphasizes the need to protect civilian infrastructure at all times and the need to ensure safe, continuous and unimpeded humanitarian access (to support) civilians in need.”
