Saudi King Salman condemns the “ugly Israeli aggression” against the Palestinians

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) –┬áSaudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz has called on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to face the “unarmed Palestinian people from the brutal aggression by the Israeli occupation forces.”

Saudi Arabia, in its capacity as president of the Arab summit, will call for a meeting of the League of Arab States at the level of ministers to reach a united Arab position against the crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, the Saudi monarch said during the call.

King Salman stressed Saudi Arabia’s position on the side of Palestine to wrest its rights to establish its independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Clashes broke out along the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel, killing 64 Palestinians and wounding some 2,800 by Israeli soldiers in the “Great March of Return” protesting the transfer of the US Embassy to Jerusalem, which coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Nakba.
