UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – The United States of America is confident that Syria and Russia are trying to “clean up” the site of the alleged chemical attack in the Syrian city of the Duma. This was stated by the official representative of the US State Department Heather Nauert.
As stressed by Nauert, these countries are also trying to prevent the inspectors of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) from inspecting the site.
Naouert said that the United States has reliable information indicating that Russian officials and representatives of the Bashar al-Assad regime are trying to delay the arrival of the OPCW inspectors in the Duma.
Officials from Russia and the Syrian authorities cleared the places of possible attacks, getting rid of the evidence of the use of chemical weapons.
Earlier, representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry told the media who obstructs the access of the OPCW experts to the Syrian Duma.
