UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — US forces eliminated two leaders of the Al-Shabaab terrorist group behind the attacks on Manda Bay’s Kenyan base last Saturday, AFRICOM said.
At the beginning of the year, the Manda Bay base in Kenya was attacked by terrorists.
Then one American soldier died, two more US citizens working under a contract with the Pentagon were injured. In response to the attack on the base, additional units of the US Armed Forces arrived.
AFRICOM reported the liquidation of “the two high-ranking Al-Shabab leaders behind the planning and leadership of the operations” in Kenya, including the “latest attack on Manda Bay.”
In addition, the wife of one of the militants, who was also a member of the group, was liquidated.
