US budget deficit was $ 13.3 billion in December


The United States government recorded a $ 13.3 billion budget deficit in December, the US Treasury Department said on Monday.

According to the Treasury’s monthly budget statement, the deficit was $ 13.5 billion in the same month a year ago.

Analysts polled by Reuters expected a deficit of $ 15 billion.

The unadjusted revenue was 336 billion dollars last month, seven percent higher than December 2018, while the unadjusted expenses recorded 349 billion dollars, an annual increase of seven percent as well.
