US continues to reinforce its bases in Syria

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The US has continued to reinforce its bases and outposts in Syria located in areas occupied by the YPG / PKK terrorist organization, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).

According to local sources in Haseke, the US military dispatched 250 trucks divided into three convoys last week through the Al-Walid border crossing at the Iraq-Syria border.

Finally, 130 trucks were seen in the convoy that entered Syria yesterday.

It is learned that the trucks contained 4×4 vehicles, heavy weapons and ammunition, as well as construction materials.

Following the Turkish counterterrorism operation “Source of Peace”, the US concentrated its presence in Syria on oil fields under the occupation of the YPG / PKK and sent hundreds of lorries organized in convoys.

US forces are present at 11 military bases and points in areas occupied by the YPG / PKK in Syria’s Haseke, Raka and Deirizor provinces.

On October 15, 2019, US commanders promised the tribal leaders they met in Deirizor that they would not withdraw from the region.

US President Donald Trump on October 23 said they have secured oil fields in the eastern part of the country and that some US troops will remain there.
