US coordinated operation in Idlib with Turkey

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The Turkish Defense Ministry, amid reports of the liquidation of the leader of the Islamic State Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, said the US and Turkish military exchanged information before an operation in Syrian Idlib last night.

Earlier, Defense One wrote that the United States conducted a special operation in Syria on Saturday against the leader of IS al-Baghdadi. He is believed to be dead, but this information has not yet received official confirmation.

“On the eve of the US operation in the Syrian province of Idlib last night, an exchange of information and coordination between the military authorities of both countries took place,” the Turkish military department said.
