US: emergency landing aircraft spills the cabourant into a residential area

At least 60 people, including a number of children, were injured after a passenger jet spilled fuel at an emergency landing at Los Angeles airport in the United States.

Local media reported that the Delta Airlines passenger plane made an emergency landing due to a motorcycle crash. In order to reduce weight, the aircraft poured fuel into an area where six schools were located.

About 60 people reported having skin irritation and breathing problems.

Cudahy Mayor Elizabeth Alcantar regrets the case.

Delta Airlines said the aircraft spilled fuel “on the basis of the usual weight reduction procedure in the event of emergency landing”.

The Federal Aviation Bureau confirmed that investigations into the case had begun.
