According to him, due to the current situation, the alliance began to revise its strategy to “contain” Moscow.

“Russia is a competitor, and NATO’s advantage over Moscow has declined <…> We are making the planning that is happening within NATO more consistent and we are making collective efforts to improve our capabilities,” the general said following a meeting of the Alliance’s Military Committee in Slovenia.

According to Newsweek , the meeting discussed the new military strategy of NATO, adopted in May. At the same time, the author of the article notes that due to the strengthening of Russia and China, the period of “undeniable dominance” of the USA in the world is coming to an end, and the North Atlantic Alliance has to adapt to this.

He calls Moscow the most serious threat to NATO, which allegedly demonstrates its readiness to use the armed forces to protect its interests.

On September 6, Dunford named the most dangerous countries for the United States in space.
