US military opens fire on civilians in conflict in Syria

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The conflict between American soldiers and residents of the settlement of Harbat Hamo in Syria was able to be stopped thanks to the Russian military, said the head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties, Major General Yuri Bourenkov.

According to him, at a checkpoint near the city of Kamyshly, a unit of government troops stopped an American convoy deviated from the route. After that, between the military of the United States and the locals there was a conflict.

At some point, American soldiers opened fire on defeat. As a result, a 14-year-old boy died, another resident was injured.

Borenkov noted that the Russian military managed to end the conflict and bring the American convoy to a base point.

In turn, earlier representatives of the Western coalition noted that the US military opened fire on civilians as part of self-defense. During the conflict, one American soldier suffered: he scratched his own weapon.
