UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS)
The US military shipped military logistics equipment and armored vehicles to its bases near oil fields in northeast Syria.
Last night, a convoy of 120 barges crossed the El-Waleed border crossing at the Iraqi-Syrian border, advancing towards the Al-Hasakah-Deirizor region.
The convoy included 4 armored vehicles, 50 4×4 ‘pick up’ vehicles, covered barges and a large number of tankers.
Following Operation Source of Peace, the US concentrated its presence in Syria on the oil fields under the occupation of the YPG / PKK, where it has carried out transfers with convoys consisting of hundreds of trucks.
US forces are present in a total of 11 military bases and outposts in Syria’s Al-Hasakah and Deirizor regions that are currently occupied by the YPG / PKK.
US commanders during a meeting with the tribal leaders at Deirizor on October 15, 2019, promised they would not withdraw from the region.
US President Donald Trump in a statement on October 23, 2019 said they have placed oil fields in the east of the country under security and that some US soldiers will remain there.
