US Navy expeditionary ship enters Black Sea

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — The USNS Yuma (T-EPF-8) expeditionary transport ship entered the Black Sea, said the Bosphorus Observer , which tracks ships passing through the Bosphorus.

This ship enters the Black Sea for the third time this year.

USNS Yuma is a Spearhead class high-speed vessel. These are multi-purpose non-combatant ships designed for the rapid transfer of troops, cargo and military equipment, including M1 Abrams tanks, supplying units and carrying out humanitarian rescue operations.
