US nuclear submarine surfaced from under ice in Arctic (VIDEO)

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — The Toledo nuclear submarine surfaced, breaking ice, in the Arctic, a corresponding video was posted on the YouTube channel of the U.S. Navy.

The images posted on the Web show how the submarine gradually rises to the surface.

At some point, several crew members left the submarine and began to free the ship’s hull from the ice crust with a chainsaw.

Toledo arrived in the Arctic for the Ice Exercise exercises, which are held in the Arctic Ocean to assess the readiness of the US Navy for operations in the region.
