US sends a plane to evacuate its citizens from a quarantine ship in Japan

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The United States will send a plane to evacuate American passengers from the cruise ship Diamond Princess, which has been quarantined in Japan, which has seen the largest number of coronavirus infections outside China, the US embassy in Japan said.

The embassy stated in a letter to American passengers, published on its website on Saturday, that the plane will arrive in Japan on Sunday evening.
