US tanks on the way to EU

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) –┬áThe United States has begun transferring its tanks from the 1st Armored Brigade of Texas to Europe, reports the Polish news portal defense24.pl.

The United States is in the process of transporting the 1st Armored Brigade of the 1st Cavalry Division to Europe as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, which is currently undergoing a rotation, reports the Polish site defense24.pl.

According to the media, the Armored Brigade has about 90 Abrams tanks, 140 Bradley infantry and troop transport vehicles and 18 Paladin self-propelled guns. Between 3,500 and 4,000 soldiers come with their equipment.

On his Twitter account, the 1st Cavalry Division published a video showing the transfer of tanks by rail.

The deployment of US tanks in Poland is part of the largest NATO reinforcement on the Eastern European flank observed since the end of the Cold War.

Moscow continues to repeat that it is a provocation and it is dangerous to destabilize the balance of power on the European continent. The strengthening of the Atlantic Alliance’s military presence in Europe is seen in Moscow as a negative and dangerous signal.
