Wall Street is growing due to hopes for new stimulus measures for the economy

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — US stock indices are rising on Monday as investors hope for additional stimulus measures amid an increasing impact on the economy of the outbreak of coronavirus.

Investors expect the Fed to cut interest rates by another 50 basis points during the March 17-18 meeting.

By 18:37 Moscow time, the Dow Jones Industrials index rose 0.73% to 25.594.00, the S&P 500 – 0.45% to 2.967.57, and the Nasdaq Composite – 0.30% to 8.593.30.

Apple Inc shares rose 3.2%, rising from more than a two-month low after Oppenheimer & Co upgraded its stock rating to “above the market”.
