Washington: Syrian forces used chemical weapons at least 50 times

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – Washington estimates that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces have used chemical weapons at least 50 times in more than seven years of war, US envoy to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Friday.

“If our president has not yet decided on a possible action in Syria, if the United States and its allies decide to move in Syria, it will be a defense of a principle that we all agree on,” Haley told the UN Security Council.

The US envoy said Russia is responsible for the continued use of chemical weapons in Syria.
