WHO raises risk of “too high” for coronavirus

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The World Health Organization said Friday that the risk of coronavirus has increased from “high” to “very high”.

This assessment was made following numerous cases that have been affected by this virus worldwide and the speed at which coronavirus is spreading.

There are currently over 83,000 people affected and over 2800 deaths.

“We have no data yet that the virus is spreading freely to populations,” said WHO leader Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

If this were to happen, then coronavirus would be termed a pandemic, a designation that the WHO has not yet made.
