UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The Syrian regime forces provided a Russian air cover in the southeastern countryside of Idlib Governorate (northwest), in exchange for significant losses they suffered in the clashes in the neighboring countryside of Aleppo Governorate (north).
The regime continues its ground attacks with the support of Russia and foreign terrorist groups loyal to Iran, to control residential areas within the de-escalation zone in Idlib.
The Anatolia correspondent said that the regime forces took control of the villages of Talmans, Ma’ramsham and Al-Ghadfa in Maarat al-Numan after violent clashes with the opposition fighters last night.
Thus, the regime forces were 3 kilometers from the center of Ma`rat al-Numan, from the south, and the east, and 10 kilometers from the north.
On the other hand, the regime forces suffered great losses after trying to advance in Al-Rashideen and Al-Sahafi Yeh areas to the Iksar line in Aleppo countryside.
The opposition forces were able to repel the attacks in the area and neutralize two tanks, a soldier, an anti-aircraft, and a large number of militants.
