UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Coronavirus is spreading rapidly in China while many cases have been reported in many countries around the world.
The World Health Organization has called for global mobilization of states to combat the disease.
The organization will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss whether coronavirus poses a danger to the world as well as measures to prevent its spread.
A specialized team of doctors has gathered from this organization to go to China to learn more about the virus and the way it is transmitted.
So far we know that it spreads to the respiratory tract but there are still many aspects that have not yet been discovered.
Director-General of the health organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, during his visit to China said that most of the infected have mild symptoms and that 1 in 5 patients suffer from pneumonia and breathing difficulties.
Many countries around the world have begun evacuating their citizens from Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus, to avoid potential spread.
So far, 132 fatalities have been registered as a result of coronavirus and over 6,000 cases of infections.
