YEMEN (OBSERVATORY) – The anti-aircraft defense of the army and People’s Committees of Yemen (Ansarullah) has announced that it has shot down an American-made UAV in the south-west of the country.
Last night, the Yemeni news channel, Al-Masirah reported that the DCA of the Army and People’s Committees has targeted an American UAV type MQ-9 in the sky of the coastal province of Al-Hudaydah which houses an important port overlooking the Red Sea.
Since March 2015, the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia has attempted to seize this vital port of Yemen. The Ansarullah movement has repeatedly warned against attempts by the Riyadh regime-led coalition to occupy the aforementioned port.
“The loss of the port of Al-Hudaydah would be tantamount to the loss of all Yemen,” warns Ansarullah.
According to another dispatch from Yemen, the Army and Ansarallah’s ballistic units fired a Badr-1-type ballistic missile at Jizan airport in the southwestern Wahhabi kingdom.
Similarly, the bastions of Saudi mercenaries at two bases in Ma’rib were shelled by Ansarallah.
