UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – Shortly after the Saudi coalition air raid on the presidential palace in Sanaa, the Yemeni capital, the new president of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Machat, met for the first time with Defense Minister Mohamed Nasser Ahmed.
During this first meeting, the focus was on the need for performance and training of Yemeni army forces and People’s Committees to better counter the aggressions of the Saudi coalition.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the intensification of fighting on various fronts.
However, the Yemeni Defense Minister reported on the high performance of the Yemeni forces and predicted that the latter would surprise the enemy by defying all the strategy codes of this war.
The meeting comes three days after the Saudi-led airstrike against the presidential palace in Sana’a, followed by allegations calling for the fate of Mahdi al-Machat as president of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen. However, the Ansarullah movement claimed that it was safe and sound.
