Zakharova: We will not storm the headquarters of US diplomatic missions

RUSSIA (OBSERVATORY) –┬áRussian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow would not attack the embassy or US consulates in Russia, contrary to what Washington is doing to its Russian missions.

Commenting on a video showing the US authorities storming the Russian consulate in Seattle four days ago in a move described as “barbaric,” Zakharova said in an interview with the channel “Russia 1” today that the Russian authorities “will not come Blue Bellevue to any of the American diplomatic properties or buildings Rented by the US Embassy on the territory of Russia, to cover what it is doing.”

Zakharova added that Moscow was continuing preliminary work to start moving cases in US trials over US confiscation of Russian diplomatic property.

US authorities closed the Russian Consulate General in Seattle on March 30, accusing Russia of poisoning former intelligence agent Sergey Scrippal in Britain.
