UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has conducted a series of diplomatic contacts with his counterparts in a number of countries.
A statement issued by the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Zarif had contacted his Qatari counterparts Muhammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Canadian Christia Freeland, Dane Jepe Kufood, Swedish Ann Linde and Finnish Becca Havesto.
The statement added that Zarif discussed with his counterparts recent regional developments in the region.
On Wednesday, Iran launched a missile strike on two military bases in Iraq hosting American soldiers in Anbar (west) and Erbil (north), in response to the killing of the commander of the “Quds Force” Qassem Soleimani, with a US raid in Baghdad, Friday.
