Syria: Russia pushes the US towards the exit door

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – According to Moscow, as soon as the Americans withdraw from the east of the Euphrates, the Syrian army will have to regain control.

“The Syrian Army must take back control of areas east of the Euphrates once US troops leave,” the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirmed yesterday to reporters. Mikhail Bogdanov.

“If the Americans claim that they have eradicated Daesh, what is their problem today? What are they still doing there and what are they looking for? The presence of American troops beyond the Euphrates should never have taken place, “he said.

It should be noted that in July in Damascus, a delegation composed of Kurdish parties in northern Syria discussed with the Syrian authorities the fate of the eastern zone of the Euphrates, controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). and the US military.

Meanwhile, the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak quoted Fayez al-Asmar, former military commander of Deir ez-Zor province, as saying that the United States had installed three warning and interception systems in the towns of Sarrin , Kobane and Tal-Baydar, in northern Syria.

The United States has also deployed 13 fixed and mobile radar systems to monitor Kurdish-controlled areas in northern Syria.

Washington’s next plan is to deploy missile defense systems in the region.
