White House adviser meets Saudi Crown Prince on Middle East

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – White House adviser Jared Kushner met with Saudi Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday on Israel and the Palestinian territories, while Kouchner is preparing the US Middle East peace plan.

The White House said in a statement that they discussed at the meeting, which was also attended by US Middle East peace envoy Jason Greenblatt, to strengthen US-Saudi relations and provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Kouchner held a similar meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah on Tuesday.

Kouchner and Greenblatt said their plan for peace between Israel and the Palestinian territories was almost ready.

Doubts about the possibility of peace were raised last month when Trump’s decision to move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem sparked violent protests in which dozens of Palestinians were killed.
